Susan A. Leonard, M.D. completed her undergraduate degree at St Olaf College, followed by a research position at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Leonard completed medical school at the University of Minnesota, an internal medicine residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, and her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Minnesota. She then spent eight years in St Cloud, Minnesota practicing Rheumatology and performing the duties of department chair for seven of those years. Dr. Leonard participated in clinical research as well as seeing patients full time. She is a board certified Rheumatologist. Her main professional interests include, but are not limited to Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Psoriatic Arthritis, Anklyosing Spondylitis, Gout and Vasculitis. Most rheumatologic conditions are chronic and Dr Leonard finds forming long term relationships with her patients extremely satisfying.
She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and four children. She enjoys family time at their lake cabin in summers and skiing in the winters, as well watching her kids perform in music concerts, soccer and participate in various sports.
